FORT MYERS, FLa. — Scammers are trying to get your money by tricking you into thinking they are the police.
The Fort Myers Police Department warning someone is calling residents claiming to be "Jefferey Harvey" of the Fort Myers Police Department.
They say he demands the victim pay $500 in back fines or an officer would be sent to their home.
Remember no law enforcement agency will call or show up at your home to collect fines.
