FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police say both drivers went to the hospital Tuesday night after a Fort Myers Police car collided with another car on Cleveland Avenue.
It happened around 11:45 p.m. at the intersection with Carrell Road.
Police say the officer was on routine patrol, headed northbound, when the other driver pulled out in front of the patrol car.
Both drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Lee Memorial.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office investigated the crash and determined the officer was not at fault.
