Suspect involved in senior living facility assault arrested

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A man suspected of trying to sexually assault a young girl in Fort Myers has been arrested.

The 11-year-old girl spoke to FOX 4 tonight, saying she's thankful for her brother who came to her rescue.

This after she says Kevin Agenord entered her home and tried force himself onto her.

MAN SUSPECTED OF TRYING TO SEXUALLY ASSAULT A YOUNG GIRL IN FORT MYERS ARRESTED. THE 11-YEAR-OLD THANKFUL HER BROTHER CAME TO HER RESCUE JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME. THAT VICTIM FEARED FOR HER LIFE AFTER POLICE SAY KEVIN AGENORD ENTERED HER HOME AND TRIED TO FORCE HIMSELF ONTO HER .

The suspect is now in the custody of the Fort Myers Police Department.

FMPD has released a description of the suspect and these photos.

According to FMPD, witnesses and victims describe the suspect as a black male, early 20's, dark complexion and last seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark in color pants/jeans.

In a press release, the agency says the man also has 4-5 inch deadlock type hairstyle and possible white tennis shoes.

FMPD is asking anyone with video surveillance video that could help solve the case to contact them.

If anyone saw a man fitting this description in the area of Carroll Road to Cleveland Ave to Broadway between 8am and 10am on Thursday, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers or 321-7700.

The Fort Myers Police Department is at the scene of a crime involving sexual assault.

The incident is on Broadway and Carrell in Fort Myers.

FMPD says there are two scenes, one involving a sexual assault at a nursing home in Fort Myers and a burglary.

The second scene FMPD Officers are questioning some teens in a yard.

FMPD had helicopters during the search.
