COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.-- Florida Highway Patrol troopers say 30-year-old Jared Dodson of Fort Myers was killed when he collided with an SUV in Naples.
It happened in the eastbound lanes of Davis Boulevard just before 8 P.M., February 28, 2019. Troopers say Dodson had the right of way, but the SUV didn't see him. The report also says Dodson was speeding at the time of the crash.
The man driving the SUV was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The report says charges are pending, though did not say what those charges may be.
