A Naples man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a restaurant and stealing over $1,000 in cash, according to a Collier County Sheriff's Office report.

Deputies responded to Erin's Isle in March after reports of a robbery taking place.

The owner told deputies that surveillance video revealed a man, dressed in dark clothing, entering the restaurant through an unlocked door. When the owner arrived to the restaurant the following day, a total of $1,302.00 was missing from the cash drawer.

A further investigation revealed the man in the security footage as 23-year-old Tyler Ward.

The owner of the restaurant told deputies that Tyler was a former employee but recently resigned.

He was arrested and charged with Burglary and Grand Theft.
