LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- A Southwest Florida food truck is serving up more than food, they're empowering teens and helping them learn valuable life lessons.
The Boys and Girl's Club of Collier County's Blue Canteen food truck program provides fresh and local ingredients, while helping teenagers build towards their future and careers.
The program allows teens to work on the truck and build their skills in culinary arts, restaurant management and entrepreneurship.
Blue Canteen is run by Chef Geoff and Anastasios. Geoff Novins has a culinary background and started off his career at a local Red Lobster when he was a teen. Chef Anastasios Banos has been involved in the culinary world for 20 years in Naples, Seattle, Chicago and Milwaukee.
