Florida Highway Patrol sets up DUI checkpoints

NAPLES, Fla. --- The Florida Highway Patrol will be conducting a DUI Wolfpack Operation beginning Saturday night. 

The Wolfpack Operation will take place in Collier and Lee County from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Sunday. The operation will focus on Interstate 75 and major state and county roadways. 

Troopers conducting the operation will be looking for impaired drivers and traffic violations such as; seat belt and red light violations. 

Driving impaired from alcohol or drugs puts everyone on the roadways in danger. Florida law considers a driver with a .08 or higher Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) to be impaired. Drivers under the age of 21 with a BAC of .02 or higher are also in violation of Florida law.

Drivers are encouraged to dial *FHP (*347) to report an aggressive driver or require roadside assistance.
