CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Local soccer team, the Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions, play in the Women's Premier Soccer League, which is the second highest league in the country.
The team hopes to make it to playoffs again this year after games wrap up at the end of June.
Last year, the team won the Sunshine Conference Championship and were also regional finalists. This is the only soccer club in Lee County with a license.
The team takes on Puerto Rico Pride FC at home, which is Idan Baker High School, at 1 p.m. on June 22nd. On the 23rd, the team takes on Team Boca Blast in Boca Raton at 1 p.m. Finally, on June 30th, it's the teams' last regular season game. It's a home game against Orlando Kicks FC and it starts at 12 p.m. The team hopes to make it to the playoffs after this.
