FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Many lovers of fresh doughnuts have been hoping to get a Krispy Kreme store in Southwest Florida for years. That wait will be ending soon.
The first ever Krispy Kreme store in Southwest Florida is set to open in the fall.
The store will be located at 4904 S. Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers, just north of the Sam's Club between Colonial Boulevard and Boy Scout Drive.
According to the News-Press, construction started at the Cleveland Avenue site in February after previous plans on Colonial Boulevard at Six Mile Cypress Parkway fell through.
The new store will seat 51 and feature a 24-hour drive-thru.
