LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- Lehigh firefighters mopped up hot spots, Tuesday, after a brush fire burned 3 acres.
Firefighters responded to a call in the area of Avis Avenue and Beck Street, where an approximately 30 by 30 foot area of brush was burning. At 6 P.M., the fire was 80% contained and 100% controlled.
Some homes were threatened, but fire fighters were able to stop the fire from doing any damage. No injuries were reported.
Neighbors can expect crews to be in the area through Tuesday night.
