FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Fire crews have evacuated portions of a recycling center in Fort Myers due to a fire Friday.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but Chief John Caufield confirms it was an accidental fire. One firefighter was taken to a local hospital for heat exhaustion Friday afternoon, but has been released.

It's at Allied Recycling off Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard near Hanson Street.

This black smoke is blowing across Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard, so drivers should use caution in the area.

No injuries are reported in the fire.
