Finalists named for North Port Police Chief

NORTH PORT, Fla. -- THe City of North Port has selected four finalists for its Police Chief position. They will all be available at a public meet and greet June 11.

 

The meet and greet is at the city commission chambers inside North Port City Hall at 4970 City Hall Boulevard. It will be from 6-8 pm. 

The finalists are:

  • Ralph Anthony. Anthony spent 23 years with the Naples Police Department and the last two as the Deputy Chief of Police for the Tampa International Airport Police Department. He also served in the U.S. Army/Air Force Reserves.
  • Todd Garrison. Garrison is a Captain/District Commander at the Lee County Sheriff's Office. He's been with LCSO since 1994. 
  • Paul Grohowski. Grohowski is the Chief of Police for the Allan Hancock Joint Community College District Police Department in California. Before that he was the Chief of Police for Adams State University Police in Colorado. He also served in the Port Saint Lucie and Denbury, Connecticut Police Departments.
  • Frank Kitzerow. Kitzerow is currently the Chief of Police for the Jupiter Police Department. He also served as Chief for the Portsmouth, Virginia Police Department.
