The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) requires student-athletes and coaches to watch heat illness training and prevention videos beginning July 1st.

The FHSAA board of directors voted to make heat safety training videos mandatory starting this month. The required course is free and provided by the National Federation of State High School Associations on their website. Click here for a look at the course.

Richie Rode, the head football coach for Cypress Lake High School, also explained how he plans to keep his athletes safe on the field.
