CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- We're getting our first look at the three men Charlotte County deputies say stole a Jeep with the owner’s face printed on it on earlier this week.
Deputies say the pictures seen here are from a Florida Highway Patrol trooper’s car.
FHP says the three men were walking on the side of Interstate 75 in Charlotte County so a trooper picked them up and gave them a ride to a gas station.
After the trooper left, deputies say the three men stole a Jeep that had been left running while the owner went inside -- a Jeep covered in graphics advertising a local realty team.
That led to deputies chasing the suspects, who crashed into another car before speeding off.
Deputies eventually found the Jeep abandoned off I-75 in Bradenton.
If you know who these men are, deputies ask that you contact the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 941-639-0013 or Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
