UPDATE 12/04/2020:

FHP has arrested a Fort Myers man who was involved in a hit and run on I-75 on Dec. 1, early in the morning.

According to reports, Cody Austin Hall, 24, was traveling south on I-75 in a pickup truck in the outside right lane. Another pickup was on the inside left lane.

Hall tried changing lanes to pass a tractor-trailer when he collided with the other pickup, causing it to veer off in front of the tractor-trailer.

The two vehicles collided before the pickup also hit the guardrail. Hall fled down I-75.

Deputies located Hall on Dec. 4. He is facing charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, and making an improper lane change, according to FHP.

No one was injured in the crash.

Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating a hit-and-run crash on I-75 in Fort Myers.

It happened Monday morning in the southbound lanes just south of Alico Road.

Troopers say the crash involves a single-vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
