FDOH announces new COVID-19 cases, 3 in Collier Co.

The Florida Department of Health has announced 8 new COVID-19 cases, three of them are in Collier County. The cases involve a 73-year-old man, 68-year-old woman and 64-year old woman. All three cases are travel-related and all three patients are in isolation.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Southwest Florida up to six. There are 155 COVID-19 tests in Florida that are still pending.

More than 800 cases have now been confirmed in the country, according to a tally from Johns Hopkins University. That total is expected to climb steadily as testing ramps up across the U.S.
