FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A Lehigh Acres woman was killed in a multi-car crash overnight in Fort Myers.
It happened shortly after midnight Monday morning on Daniels Parkway at the intersection of Danport Boulevard, just west of Interstate 75.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a car was stopped in the eastbound lanes of Daniels Parkway due to a mechanical issue. That's when an eastbound SUV crashed into the rear of the car, pushing it through the intersection and into the path of a westbound minivan, which crashed into the car.
A passenger in the car, 42-year-old Nahomie Deltor of Lehigh Acres, was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The car's driver, 34-year-old Manel Evariste of Lehigh Acres, sustained minor injuries.
No injuries were reported in the other two vehicles.
Florida Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into what happened, and charges are pending.
