FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Florida Highway Patrol says one man was killed and another injured while working on a trailer along the shoulder of an I-75 on-ramp Sunday.

It happened around 12:20 pm.

FHP says the two victims, 37-year-old Matthew Ryan and 38-year-old Matthew Clark, were parked north of Alico Road along the Interstate 75 entrance ramp near mile marker 128.

Both men got out to inspect the trailer they were towing when a pickup truck crashed into the trailer and push it into the men.

Matthew Clark was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Matthew Ryan sustained minor injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing.
