ESTERO, Fla. -- The family of a Lee County girl who went missing two years ago held a prayer service, Thursday.
Diana Alvarez disappeared from her San Carlos Park home May 29 2016. Earlier this month, deputies charged Jorge Guerrero for kid napping and murdering the girl. He was already in prison for having pornographic images of Diana.
Announcement of the murder charges against Guerrero was the first time deputies declared Diana dead.
Thursday, the family held a prayer service at Estero United Methodist Church in honor of Diana's birthday. She would have been 11 years old.
