Family and dog safe after house fire in Clewiston

HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. -- All residents and pets have been reported safe in a house fire in Clewiston Monday night.

According to the Hendry County Sheriff's Office, the fire was extinguished shortly after 9 p.m. at a home on Nalls Court, off Davidson Road.

Firefighters were able to safely rescue a small dog from the home.

The Red Cross says they responded to assist seven residents with emergency food and lodging needs.
