Families spend Thanksgiving in local restaurants

Posted

Cape Coral families dined out for the holiday this year. Local restaurants stayed open to celebrate Thanksgiving with the community.

The Golden Corral opened at regular time but closed a little earlier so their employees had a chance to spend time with their families. Manager, Sandy Weaver told FOX 4 she didn't "mind spending the day at the restaurant, it's a rewarding feeling."

Ariani's, an owned and operated Italian restaurant, didn't close until 8PM tonight and opened 4 hours earlier than usual. Owner, Dario Zuljani was also happy to spend his Thanksgiving serving his customers "we have fun doing this" he said "we are very excited to prepare so many turkey dinners!"

FOX 4 also visited a locally known restaurant, Anthony's on the Boulevard. The owner, Anthony Serrago told us "the customers are very appreciative" and he's "glad they have a Thanksgiving meal."
