FORT MYERS, Fla. — Tuesday, the community will honor those who have died in the line of duty. There will be a fallen officer memorial ceremony at 9 am in Centennial Park.
The annual event remembers fallen officers from the Fort Myers Police Department, the Lee County Sheriff's Office, and Florida Highway Patrol.
Everyone is invited to attend and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The event will also recognize the start of National Police Week which is Sunday, May 12th through Saturday, May 18th.
