Englewood man sentenced to 15 years for multiple crimes

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — An Englewood man was sentenced to prison for 15 years, followed by five years of sex offender probation on three cases, two involving children.

Jared Bracewell, 19, chose to plea straight to the judge for sentencing.

Bracewell was a juvenile at the time of his first crime and was arrested in 2018 for the crime involving a young teenager. He was sentenced on one count of Lewd or Lascivious Battery for that case.

While being investigated for the previous crime, he committed another crime on a juvenile and was sentenced on one count of Lewd or Lascivious Battery and Interference with Custody.

During the time he had been incarcerated at the Charlotte County Jail, he punched another inmate. He was sentenced for one count of Battery on a Detainee or Inmate.
