Eleven year old dies as result of crash in Fort Myers

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving three vehicles on January 1st.

A vehicle was carrying two children and two adults from Lafayette, Indiana, was traveling east on the left turn lane of Daniels Parkway, approaching Apaloosa Lane.

A second vehicle, a pickup truck, traveled west on the center lane of Daniels Parkway, approaching Apaloosa Lane.

And a third SUV was traveling west on the outside lane of Daniels Parkway, approaching Apaloosa Lane.

The vehicle carrying the two children turned left in front of approaching traffic.

The front of the second vehicle collided with the right side of car one, and the left portion of vehicle 3 collided with the right front portion of vehicle 2.

All three vehicles came to rest in the area of the collision.

As a result, an 11-year-old has passed away.

FHP Is still investigating the crash.
