BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — The City of Bonita Springs will get $5 million to help homeowners who suffered damage during Hurricane Irma.

Governor DeSantis announced that more than $44 million in disaster recovery funding would go to elven communities in our state.

This is part of the "Rebuild Florida" voluntary home buyout program.

The program helps local governments buy damaged homes from people in high-risk flood areas.
