CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A popular eagle nest fell out of a tree and has left Southwest Florida bird lovers concerned.
A neighbor reached out to 4 In Your Corner when she was alarmed to see no nest in the usual tree near Strausser BMX Sports Complex in Cape Coral.
4 In Your Corner spoke to Florida Fish and Wildlife. A FWC spokesperson said winds from the recent wave of strong storms knocked the nest out of the tree.
FWC officials say eagle fans shouldn't be concerned since it is a part of nature. Biologists say the eagles will build a new nest to replace the fallen one.
