Duplex fire kills two dogs in Fort Myers

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Fort Myers family is looking for a place to stay after a fire tore through their home late Wednesday night.

According to the Iona-McGregor fire marshal, no people were injured in the fire. But the family's two dogs died.

The fire happened around 11:30 p.m. on a duplex on Southdale Road.

The fire marshal says the part of the duplex where the fire happened is completely uninhabitable.

He says at this time the fire is not considered to be suspicious.
