FORT MYERS, Fla. — The South trail fire protection & rescue service district wants to remind people to watch where they put their cigarette butts.

The Fire Department responded to a small landscape fire at Gulf Coast Hospital and was determined to be caused by a cigarette butt.

Dry windy conditions make it possible for fires to spread easily.
