CAPE CORAL, Fla., - Members of the Cape Coral Police Department and SWAT team serving a warrant to a home on Manor Court Wednesday arrested Dale Russel Bonner, 57, on a slew of drug and weapons related charges.
Inside the home, police say they found 6 pounds of marijuana, 14.8 grams of hydrocodone, two firearms, approximately $4,000 cash, paraphernalia for storing and packaging drugs, and a variety of pills.
The home where the drug bust happened is a short distance from Four Freedoms Park.
“We’re patrolling the parks all the time to make sure people aren’t up to no good or doing anything to our parks so we can enjoy them during the day,” said Corporal Phil Mullen with Cape Coral Police Department.
Bonner is charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a park among other charges.
