COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Troopers are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Alligator Alley early Friday morning in which one driver was not found at the scene.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 3:45 a.m. near mile marker 83, close to the State Road 29 exit on Alligator Alley.

They say a southbound car ran off the roadway and collided with the guardrail before coming to a stop in the left southbound travel lane. That's when a southbound SUV crashed into the car.

A passenger in the SUV sustained minor injuries in the crash and was taken to NCH Baker Hospital Downtown in Naples.

Troopers were unable to locate the car's driver.

The crash caused roadblock in the southbound lanes until around 6 a.m.
