Disabled man assaulted at Nacho Mama's restaurant

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. --- Investigators arrest a man accused of assaulting a disabled man on Saturday. 

According to a Marco Island Police report, the incident happened at Nacho Mama's, located at 599 South Collier in Marco Island. Deputies were called to the restaurant after the victim , Brian Lynch, was attacked by a man wearing a green tank top and shorts. 

Lynch told investigators he was standing next to the front door of the restaurant when he was kicked from behind. According to the victim, he fell forward and hit his mouth and head on a table. 

While investigating, deputies noticed injuries to Lynch's head and lip. The victim also informed Marco Island Police that his teeth were out of place due to the assault and that he was also diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

The suspect, Terrel Olson was later found and placed under arrest by officers. Witnesses who were inside the restaurant confirmed Olson was the man who kicked Lynch. Investigators located Olson walking on Winterberry Drive and South Collier Boulevard. 

Collier County EMS arrived on the scene to treat the victims injuries. 

Olson was transported to Naples Jail.
