LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that happened Saturday evening near the Westminster Golf Club in Lehigh Acres.
Deputies responded to the incident near Golfview Boulevard and Snead Drive. Meenyus Miller, 19, suffered from gunshot wounds and was transported to a hospital.
The victim has since succumbed to his injuries, according to deputies.
Deputies said the scene is secure and this was an isolated incident. Major Crime Unit detectives are now conducting a homicide investigation.
