DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. — The Laundry Project and the Suncoast Campaign for Grade Level Reading organized a pop-up laundry event on Saturday for the community. The Patterson Foundation helped customers of the SuperMatt laundromat receive free laundry. Customers were able to wash 450 loads during the event.
Sheriff Potter and the Desoto County Sheriff’s Office also supported the event by volunteering as “Celebrity Readers,” sharing their love of reading.
