PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- Deputies are conducting an active search for a suspect along the railroad tracks that pararralel U.S. 41 in Punta Gorda.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, the suspect is identified as 32-year-old Kyle Bratcher.
Deputies say he fled from a traffic stop around 9:30 a.m. Friday, and then reportedly broke into a home along Mandalay Road around 10:30 a.m. in an attempt to hide from law enforcement.
He was last believed to be headed northbound on the railroad tracks as of 10:50 a.m.
If you have any information on Bratcher's whereabouts, you're asked to contact the sheriff's office.
