Deputies recover Fentanyl, drug paraphernalia and weapons during patrol stop in North Fort Myers

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — Deputies patrolling the area of Crescent Lake Drive in North Fort Myers observed a man walking out of the wood line.

The man was wearing a dark brown sweatshirt, backpack, and jeans that emerged from the wood line and was walking south on North Tamiami Trail.

The deputies approached the man identified as Patrick Burdette 27, who consented to a search.

After the search, deputies were able to recover 1.79 grams of Fentanyl, .45 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun with live ammunition from Burdette.

Burdette is a convicted felon and is not to have a firearm or ammunition.

Burdette was charged with Possession of Fentanyl without a Prescription, Possession of Methamphetamine without a Prescription, Possession of Drug Equipment, Carrying a Concealed Weapon/Unlicensed Firearm, Possession of a Weapon or Ammo by a Convicted Felon.
