NAPLES, Fla. -- Deputies conducted seat belt checks outside a high school Wednesday morning, and they say the results were positive.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, three deputies and assistant principal Eric Maya were stationed outside Naples High School, as part of National Teen Driver Week.

They say that students who were wearing their seatbelts on their way into school were given vouchers for free ice cream and hamburgers at Rita's Italian Ice, McDonald's or Culver's Restaurant. Students who were not wearing their seat belts were given verbal warnings.

The good news is that most students were given vouchers.
