A Copeland man was arrested after he tried to swallow small bags of cocaine during a traffic stop, according to a Collier County Sheriff's report.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop by SR-29 and Dupont Rd near Everglades City after a driver was spotted traveling without working tag lights and no rear bumper.
Once pulled over, the driver, 35-year-old Alain Delcastillo, answered deputies questions with his mouth closed and his head down, according to a CCSO report.
When Alain stepped out of his car, deputies say a crack pipe fell from him and a bulge was noticed on the right side of his cheek.
Alain is accused of trying to swallow the object, which deputies identified as small bags of cocaine, and proceeded to pepper spray Alain, according to a CCSO report.
Five small bags of cocaine was found inside of his mouth.
