FORT MYERS, Fla. — Central District patrol deputies with the Lee County Sheriffs Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing a traffic infraction near Oleander Avenue and Palm Beach Boulevard.

The driver Damian Lorenzo Woolfork, 20, swapped seats with another passenger in the vehicle and pretend he wasn’t driving.

The deputy approached the vehicle and asked Woolfork to step out.

Woolfork exited the vehicle but then fled on foot.

Deputies from the K-9 Unit and Aviation quickly responded and located Woolfork near the thickly wooded area of Oleander Avenue and Cherokee Street.

Woolfork continued to run but was ultimately apprehended by our four-legged deputy, K-9 Kilo.
