**UPDATE** -- Four in Your Corner is learning more about the car at the center of a Lee County Sheriff's Office investigation early Monday.

Deputies say the car in question was driven by someone who tried to hit a deputy Sunday night.  It happened when the deputy was responding to a disturbance at the RaceTrac store on Alico Road. The driver took off with deputies on his trail, but lost them.

The car was later found in the Pine Manor community.

The suspect is still on the loose.

Investigators say the car was stolen.

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- We're keeping an eye on a deputy presence near Pine Manor early Monday morning.

This is in the Pine Manor neighborhood located between Summerlin Road and U.S. 41.  The crime scene is along Sixth Avenue near Palm Drive.

The deputy presence in the area has gone down significantly as the morning progresses, but there are still deputies on scene investigating.

There's no word yet on what happened, but since around 3 a.m. Monday morning, Fox 4 crews have seen multiple Lee County Sheriff's Office units, a helicopter flying overhead, and K9 units out in the area.

Deputies did have an orange Camaro towed from the scene, and it is expected to be the focus of the investigation.

We'll stay on top of this breaking story and bring you more information as we get it.
