CHARLOTTE HARBOR, Fla. -- Charlotte County deputies are looking for the person responsible for a burglary Thursday morning.
This happened around 5 a.m. at the Preserve at Charlotte Harbor condos on Melbourne Street just off Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, a suspect entered a residence through the front door but fled when hearing a noise from a resident. While fleeing the suspect fired a gun.
Deputies ask that you stay away from the area while they investigate the scene.
