FORT MYERS, Fla.—Traffic at the 2500 block of Ortiz Avenue has been shut down while Fort Myers Police investigate a deadly traffic accident.
It happened shortly after midnight this morning near the Lee County Juvenile Detention Center.
In a press release, police said the accident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, and that drivers should avoid the area until further notice.
Police say the area will be shut down for an undetermined length of time as they investigate.
