PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- Detectives are working to find out more about a dead body that was found in a Punta Gorda park Monday morning.
According to Punta Gorda Police, park visitors discovered the body in Punta Gorda Nature Park on Aqui Esta Drive and Bal Harbor Boulevard.
The Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine a cause of death, and the victim's name is being held until family can be notified.
Police say there does not appear to be any threat to the public.
