Dead body found in car belonging to missing Charlotte County woman

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators in Punta Gorda are working to identify a person found dead in a car.

Here's what we know right now.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office says 70-year-old Deanna Adams was reported missing earlier this month .

Punta Gorda Police say that on Monday they found her car with a deceased person inside parked behind Muscle Car City on Tamiami Trail near Acline Road.

A medical examiner will now have to identify that person and determine a cause of death.
