DESOTO COUNTY, Fla — The DeSoto County Sheriff's Office says two of its deputies are recovering after a man hit them with his car.
Investigators say DCSO responded to a domestic disturbance in the area of NW Howard St. Saturday morning.
They say a victim had reported she was injured.
When deputies arrived, they found a male suspect who tried to flew in a vehicle.
He struck both deputies with his vehicle injuring them, according to investigators.
They say one deputy fired his weapon at the vehicle to stop the suspect from fleeing.
Investigators say the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the DCSO jail.
The deputies who were injured are receiving treatment at DeSoto Memorial Hospital.
