An Immokalee man was arrested after taking an envelope filled with money from a convenience store Friday night, the Collier County Sheriff's Office said.

It happened at the Handy Food Store on 1812 Lake Trafford Road.

A customer walked into the convenience store and left an envelope with cash on the counter before making his purchase and leaving, CCSO said.

It was not until two hours later that the customer realized his money had been misplaced.

After returning to the convenience store he made contact with the manager and told her what happened. The manager reviewed the store video tapes and identified a man known to the other store employees as "Twister" entering the store and placing the envelope filled with cash into his pocket.

CCSO was later notified and located Vincent Anderson, 56, at 406 South 1st Street.

Anderson was arrested and charged for Grand Theft.

He remains in jail on a $7,500 bond.
