PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- Holiday fun is on tap Friday night in downtown Punta Gorda for the 2019 Tree Lighting.
It takes place from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the lighting taking place at 7 p.m.
Punta Gorda Police say that from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 PM. Portions of Marion Avenue and Taylor Street (at the intersection) will be shut down during the event. Drivers should find alternative routes.
Those attending the event are encouraged to park at the Herald Court Center parking garage.
