Crime Stoppers asks for help identifying Family Dollar robber

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - Police are looking for a suspect who robbed the Family Dollar store in North Fort Myers Wednesday afternoon. 

Just after 3:30 p.m., a white male entered the store on Bayshore Road and approached the clerk with a knife in hand, demanding cash, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said in a news release. 

The employee put the money into a grocery bag and the suspected fled across the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot. He is still at large, the release said. 

The suspect was described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5'6" and 5'7" with a long goatee. He was wearing a baseball cap, white shirt, blue jeans and eyeglasses at the time of the robbery. 

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips may also be left here
