PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. --- Construction crews are working to repair a damaged road in Port Charlotte, causing delays in the area.
Hernando Avenue will be closed to traffic between Gibralter Drive and Starlite Lane. Traffic will be limited to local traffic only. People who live in the area will be allowed to travel through the area.
The Public Works Department reminds drivers to remain alert and exercise caution when traveling through construction zones.
Drivers are encouraged to choose an alternative route.
