COLLIER COUNTY, Fla — Florida Highway Patrol says a crash in Collier County sent one person to the hospital Thursday evening.
It happened on Immokalee Road and Logan Boulevard.
Troopers say an 84-year-old woman was driving a sedan southbound on Logan Boulevard.
They say the woman lost control of the vehicle and ended up crossing over a grassy median.
Investigators say she drove in the path of an SUV, which was driven by a 38-year-old man.
Both vehicles collided.
Passengers inside of the SUV included a 32-year-old female, two 6-year-old children, and two 5-year-old children.
Both vehicles ended up coming to a final rest in the northbound lanes.
Troopers say the driver of the sedan was taken to the hospital.
They say the 32-year-old passenger in the SUV received minor injuries in the crash.
