Deputies arrested a woman for potentially trafficking a dangerous narcotic in the Fort Myers area.
The investigation initially stemmed from the arrest of Mark Walker. He wa charged with multiple counts of trafficking Opium and Racketeering. Detectives learned tht the narcotics were potentially stored at Walker's home, LCSO said.
A traffic stop was conducted at the home of Walker's girlfriend, Magoli Murphy, 22, where deputies say they found two pounds of Fentanyl.
Fentanyl is a lethal opioid that has been responsible for a large number of opioid overdoses in Southwest Florida and across the nation. As little as 0.5 milligrams of Fentanyl can result in death.
Both Magoli and Walker were arrested and have been charged with Drug Trafficking.
